Vacationing in Lebanon while Black or Asian

Vactioning in Lebanon

With an unprecedented number of tourists visiting Lebanon in 2009, Menassat.com, a website that is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, through the Dutch media advocacy group Free Voice, with journalist based in Beirut, sheds the light on the disturbing, yet little talked about, phenomena that is racism.
If Lebanon, which espouses a liberal multi-cultural society, really wants to be the true cultural center in the Middle East, should tackle this issue head-on no matter how small scale officials think this is.
The article in general is well written but I take issue with the writer, Simba Russeau, for basically putting out what seems to be one sided stories from the people the reporter interviewed (the authenticity is not doubted here). It seems there was no attempt for an official statement or comment from the army or other entities that were accused of being ignorant and intolerant.
